The collection was inspired by geometric structures of building forest in the city featuring with concrete walls and window frame's cuts. Seo Ah Lee would like to express masculine silhouette and geometric lines through her collection. Her collection consists of 2 men's apparels and 1 women's apparel. She made them with lamb's leather and organza, the organza was developed by herself, to express geometric patterns of the building forest.
Continue readingThe project stemmed from a need to design shoes for real women. Focus in the design of these shoes was the application of industrial designs to create a shoe that caters to all women's body types, concentrating on women with wide feet in particular, but still reflecting a unique taste. Constructing what appears to be an architectural object, with its bronze brass, gave the designer room to play with technical details such as the small V-shape at the front, which provides a more comfortable fit.

The whole collection follows a timeline, from the past to the future, with a few looks serving the purpose of indicating the error occurred during the digitalizing process. The whole collection combines traditional denim treatment and innovative 3D construction. By presenting this collection with the most advanced technology such as AR and VR, will give the audience an immersive experience and shorten the distance between reality and virtuality.
Continue readingTormenta is inspired by maritime materials, and the personal connection with sailing. The collection started with the pattern of a sail. This pattern was used for the weaving blueprints. All materials were developed in collaboration with TextileLab Tilburg. The goal was to create shape into the materials with recycled fishnet nylon. Afterwards the materials were converted into wearable designs and high fashion. The remaining materials were used to create material installations. The Tormenta 3d printed shoes were designed and produced in collaboration with Chris van den Elzen and Shapeways.

Macaroni was the term for men who exceeded the ordinary bounds of fashion in London. They were the logo mania of 18th century. This collection aims to show the power of logo from past to present, and creates Macaroni Club as a brand by itself. The design details are inspired from the Macaroni costumes in 1770, and the current fashion trend with extreme volumes and length.
