Xiao Jing

In Zaiyong Fa's childhood, people used to pack up their luggage with leather straps when they traveled, it was a good way to prevent the luggage from breaking up during the trip. This element is applied to the suitcase: the front shape of a hashtag, like straps that are used to pack up luggage, and the "X" pattern at the intersection is like a sewing thread. These unique elements enable this suitcase to be quickly identified among other products during the trip.

Utopia

In this collection, Yina Hwang was mainly inspired by shapes that are symmetric and asymmetric with a touch of underground music culture. She curated this collection based on her pivotal moment of self embracement to create a collection of functional yet abstract garments and accessories to embody the story of her experience. Every print and fabric in the project is original and she mainly used PU leather, Satin, Power Mash, and Spandex for the base of the fabrics.

Detailed application of sheer-play and fabric manipulation with intentional simplicity keep up the minimalist yet striking feel of the look. The cut of the garments elicits a posture that is visually and mentally empowering. The collection employs the use of silk dyeing, hand basting, hand finishing and various handcrafted detailing. The complete line-up brings forth the power look for the modern women.
