Z Line House
Z Line House is a private house located in Semarang, Indonesia. The design uses a parametric system to shape both the geometry and the structure. A series of calculated, sculptural interventions defines the facade, while the interior spaces are planned for fluid transitions in both horizontal and vertical directions. The geometry is optimized to control water flow during the heavy rainfall of the tropical climate. A detailed solar study guided the eastern and western facades, and the openings follow view axes, occupant height and the even distribution of natural light.
Z Line House Private Residential by Revano Satria was selected as an innovative example of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Z Line House Private Residential won the Platinum A' Design Award in Architecture, Building and Structure Design in 2020. The A' Architecture, Building and Structure Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design competition which celebrates superior design of skyscrapers, museums, residential buildings, commercial complexes, educational institutions, religious structures, infrastructure designs, landscaping projects and more.
