ARC Caval

The design combines minimalist abstraction of art and geometry with the prestige of high-end fashion, and the classic of English heels. It further preserves the element of rawness in its execution manifested through the neat and delicate feel of the shoe and its overall look. The design process involved the deliberation of the three essential elements of the shoe: natural, abstract, and elegant. This required balancing the proportions of the design itself, as well as paying attention to the chosen materials in terms of texture, colors, and quality, to achieve a satisfying appeal of aesthetics.

errant and cheval

Inspired by the evolution of leisure travel after the industrial revolution, errant and cheval pay homage to traditional luggage while offering a new and efficient solution for the slow travelers of today. Errant (backpack) is comprised of panels that roll together, determining overall size and at the same time not being able to exceed maximum carry on dimensions. Cheval (handbag) follows the same principle, being able to roll excess bag material to adapt to the contents inside.

Tormenta

Tormenta is inspired by maritime materials, and the personal connection with sailing. The collection started with the pattern of a sail. This pattern was used for the weaving blueprints. All materials were developed in collaboration with TextileLab Tilburg. The goal was to create shape into the materials with recycled fishnet nylon. Afterwards the materials were converted into wearable designs and high fashion. The remaining materials were used to create material installations. The Tormenta 3d printed shoes were designed and produced in collaboration with Chris van den Elzen and Shapeways.
