Flatter Your Body

In her collection, Flatter Your Body, Yunji Lee presents a revamped version of corsets. Using angles and optical illusion, the designs alter the shape of any figure without the discomfort of original corsets. This collection consists of unbalanced and oversized versions of classic items such as suits, tailored jackets, and dresses with menswear elements. Most compelling is the light-weight wool dress, with straps that can be adjusted around the bust, waist, and hips to flatter the body. It seems that even the word fitted can take on a whole new shape.

Bio-inspired fabric

Uniqueness :The textile can coil and uncoil upon human touch, can absorb carbon form from atmosphere based on the features of leaves and artificial photosynthesis and chances of providing water at locations where oxygen is less but exposure to sunlight is possible. Inspiration: memosa-pudica plant (bio-inspiration). Challenge: To deduce features of memosa pudica, artificial photosynthesis and incorporate into textile fabrication. Production : Two methods; First by compression rolling and second by edgebinding. Team Members: Pradeep Yammiyavar & Rajatesh Nath Barbhuiya.

ORISHIKI Hand bag

Origami-like folds, a single structure consisting of triangular segments, but wraps things like apple sauce. There are new geometric folding surface became a solid calling case. The Clutch bag’s behaviour is completely differ from other any case and opening and closing movements is quite innovative way to use.
